The Diva History - Diva 39

Diva 39, the very first Diva Yacht was a revolutionising design when introduced in 1982. She was the first boat to be long, narrow (12 x 3 m) light displacement yacht to be built.
The yacht was a success with over 100 sold and exported to Europe and the US. The ideas for the new design Bernt Lindquist got from an earlier design Scanper 22, a 6m boat design together with Peter Norlin, that was raced intensively. Round, soft shapes extended longitudinally. A concept that still characterises the Diva Yachts. The hull shape gives easily drive yachts that does not need excessive sail area to perform. The result is a yacht that also is easy to manage for a family.
Diva 39 wins races as recently as 2015.
The interior was spacious for its size and moderate beam by utilising the entire width for the saloon sofa. The first with modern hull windows, main purchase system, self-tacking jib.
